Course overview
This course introduces the concepts of business
rules and how it my be used in business and systems analysis. It
discusses where and how business rules fit with process modelling,
requirements development, systems modelling and development,
business vocabulary, and fact models, and much more. Different
types of rules are identified and reviewed and insights are
presented about where and how – and when – they can be
applied.

Prerequisite
There are no prerequisites to this course although
practical experience in business will be of benefit to
participants.
Expected outcomes
The participants will have a conceptual
understanding of business rules and how it may be used in the
establishment of sound business and systems architecture. They will
have a sound working knowledge of how to define business rules and
how to integrate a business rules approach into their business and
systems analysis project approaches. They will understand the
techniques to be used, how to plan for and run the appropriate
workshops, and how to implement business rules and the processes
needed to support and maintain it.
